The covered entity (CE), Center for Sight, reported that its business associate (BA) experienced a cyberattack that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of approximately 41,041 individuals. The PHI involved included names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, and diagnoses. The CE notified HHS, affected individuals, the media, and provided substitute notice. The BA is currently under investigation regarding this breach incident.
