Section SP.1
What the sponsor receives
One labelled strip. The sponsor is named in one place, in one format: “Independent research, supported by X”. That is the whole placement.
Category exclusivity. While the slot is held, no other company in the sponsor's category sponsors the site.
Monthly performance report. The sponsor receives a plain monthly report on how the strip performed.
Founding rateEarly sponsors lock a founding rate that holds while the sponsorship renews. Terms are agreed by email; the site does not publish pricing.
Section SP.2
Who cannot sponsor
Vendors this site evaluates are not eligible to sponsor it. A company whose products appear in the register's analysis is in-category, and the slot is closed to it.
The same rule applies page by page: the sponsor's strip never appears on pages that cover the sponsor's own products or its category competitors. On those pages the strip is simply absent.
Section SP.3
Never for sale
Sponsorship buys the strip and nothing beyond it. The following are editorial.
| Item | What that covers | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rankings | How breaches, vendors, and cost figures are ordered on any page. | Not for sale |
| Comparison outcomes | Which option comes out ahead in any comparison the register publishes. | Not for sale |
| Calculator placement | What appears in, around, or after the breach-cost calculator. | Not for sale |
| Verification stamps | Verified status is earned through the same checks for everyone. | Not for sale |
| Editorial influence | What the register covers, how it is framed, and which figures it cites. | Not for sale |
Verification:free for every vendor, sponsor or not.
Section SP.4
Disclosure
Sponsor links carry rel="sponsored" and the strip is labelled in plain language, so a reader never has to work out what is paid. The cost data, rankings, and calculations stay tied to the published IBM, Verizon, and Ponemon figures regardless of who sponsors.

Sponsorship is handled by email. Say who you are, what category you operate in, and roughly when you would want the slot.
[email protected]Replies typically within two business days. Not sure your category qualifies? Ask anyway; if this site is not the fit, another in the network usually is.
